Shoddy journalism continued

This above here is a picture of yesterday's weekly shop, bought for a grand total of £22.52. I will note that this week I have decided to be meat and fish free, however, I shall show you what I buy in a meat and fish week further down the line and for a pound more I could have had king prawns in my stir fry instead of Tofu. Although in a meat or fish week I probably wouldn't have stir fry. The picture doesn't include the pint of milk.

Pictured:
One green pepper
3 red onions
1 large garlic
1 Lemon
4 Limes
Tofu
Mozzarella
Salted peanuts
Soy sauce
1 jar capers
Closed mushrooms
Beetroot
Two packets of plum tomatoes
1 packet assorted chilli's
Spinach
Curly Kale
500g Green lentils
Wholemeal Pitta
Rice noodles (6 portions)
Bean Sprouts
1 Pint Milk (not pictured but bought)

In my fridge I had 3 eggs, one skeleton of cabbage which I will use for stock and a small wedge of cheddar. In my cupboard I already had Olive oil, Balsamic vinegar, a portion of brown rice, a portion of pasta, curry paste, dried herbs and porridge.

Last night for dinner I had a vegetable stir fry made with garlic, chili, lime juice, crushed peanuts, soy sauce, tofu, pepper, mushrooms, beansprouts, Curly Kale and Noodles. For lunch as I was too hungry to make anything fresh after getting home at 3pm, I made cheese and tomatoes on pitta.

Last night I also prepared some lentils for the lentil, mozzarella and beetroot salad I will be making for lunch today. I am also going to make a curried lentil and tomato soup for lunches. The stir fry will be my main dinner in the week but I may also have an omelet, or veg pasta salad, or a rice and veg dish. For breakfast I have porridge. I am hardly starving. I am hardly eating badly.
